HDBaseT HDMI ARC Extender for 4K 60Hz

The EX70H2 HDBaseT HDMI ARC Extender supports uncompressed 18Gbps 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 8-bit video, HDR 10, and HDCP 2.2, along with SPDIF 5.1CH ARC (Audio Return Channel). It can extend HDMI 2.0 4K 60Hz UHD video and audio up to 130ft (40m) or 1080P up to 230ft (70m) over a single Cat5e/Cat6a/Cat7 cable. The extender also features bi-directional IR, power (PoE), and CEC control capabilities.

If the TV supports ARC, users should turn on ARC on the Extender Receiver, connect the HDMI Extender Output to the TV's HDMI ARC port and the AVR's ARC port. However, ARC only supports up to 5.1ch audio, not Dolby Atmos 7.1ch, so users should ensure the HDMI source, TV, and AVR support 5.1ch audio first.

If the TV does not support ARC, users should connect the TV's SPDIF output to the Receiver's SPDIF IN, and the Transmitter's SPDIF OUT to the AVR using a SPDIF cable. Again, ARC and SPDIF only support up to 5.1ch audio, not Dolby Atmos 7.1ch.

For IR control, the IR Emitter should be connected to the TX IR OUT, and the IR Receiver to the RX IR IN. The IR Emitter should be placed near the DVD player, and the IR Receiver near the TV.

The extender features two-way PoE, where only one power adapter is required to power either the Transmitter or Receiver, and they can power each other. The HDMI input cable should be less than 8m AWG26 HDMI 2.0 for 4K 30Hz, or less than 3m for 4K 60Hz. The HDMI output cable should be less than 8m AWG26 HDMI 2.0 for 4K 30Hz, or less than 5m for 4K 60Hz.

The extender has a mini slim design, measuring only 0.7 inches thick, making it easy to conceal behind the TV. All interfaces are on one side, simplifying cable management.
